 The Best of Florence

Departing from the cruiser terminal in La Spezia it takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to Florence. First of all your driver will take you along the Viale dei Colli, we reach the marvellous terrace called Piazzale Michelangelo (named after the artist who sculpted the original David statue). After having met your driver at the cruiser terminal in La Spezia, sit back and enjoy your drive through the Tuscan countryside towards Florence. Driving up the beautiful Viale dei Colli, we reach the marvellous terrace called Piazzale Michelangelo (named after the artist who sculpted the original David statue). Here you get the most impressive view of the city. Nearby you can also see the white and green marble façade of the S. Miniato al Monte church - one of the purest examples of the Florentine Romanesque style. After leaving the church, we follow an uphill road, bordered by the ancient city walls, until we reach Forte Belvedere, built around 1590 by the Grand-duke Ferdinand to protect the Medici villas ...

  Chianti & Wineries

A trip to Chianti represents a unique and unforgettable experience for everyone involved. In addition to fabulous vineyards and olive groves , famous internationally for their wine and oil; there are abbeys, villas, castles, wineries, and restaurants to visit and enjoy. Departing from your ship in La Spezia, we proceed towards the beautiful countryside of the Chianti region and, following the "Wine Road" between vineyards and olive trees, we'll reach Greve in Chianti, the small village, named after the nearby river, expanded considerably during the 14th & 15th centuries, where we find a monument to Giovanni da Verrazzano, the explorer who discovered the New York Harbour ...

 Pisa & Lucca

Your driver will pick you up at your ship in La Spezia Port, and after 30 minutes ride through the Tuscany countryside, you'll reach Pisa, one of the best known Tuscan cities. The town of Pisa is of Etruscan origin. In 179 B.C. it became a Roman colony and in 89 B.C. a Roman municipium. Pisa was an important naval base for the Romans. In the middle Ages it was an important port, just like Venice, Genoa and Amalfi. Each of these towns had both a merchant fleet and a navy, which controlled all the seas around Italy.
